These socks feature two classics: an argyle pattern, which never seems to go out of style; and a scroll detail featuring the word "history," along with a quill. This design is inspired by a section of a large bronze floor medallion set inside the Rotunda of the Charters of Freedom. It is located right in front of the steps leading inside the gallery featuring the founding documents: the Declaration of Independence, United States Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. The medallion represents the branches of government.
